Chilton Medical center (pompton plains, new jersey) Lighting efficiency upgrade
Pearl Street Systems upgraded Chilton Medical Center’s more than 5,000 light fixtures with a combination of new LED fixtures, LED retrofit kits and LED lamp/driver combinations. Despite a tight timeline, difficult access to patient rooms and strict infection control compliance requirements, Pearl Street Systems delivered the project on time and beyond their expectations. The new lighting systems consume over 60% less energy and are expected to be virtually maintenance-free for the next 15+ years (that’s tens of thousands of burnt out fluorescent lamps that don’t have to be changed and sent to the hazardous landfill). In addition to the energy and maintenance savings, the new LED fixtures have improved the quality of the lighting resulting in increased patient and employee comfort and satisfaction.
The lighting upgrade will use on average 60% less electricity and are expected to be maintenance-free for 15+ years.
In addition to the energy and maintenance savings, the new LED fixtures will improve the quality of the light with less flicker, more uniform lighting and color temperature providing overall better visibility.
