Pearl Street has completed numerous interior and exterior LED lighting upgrades at The New York Jets Atlantic Health Training Facility located in East Hanover, New Jersey.
In total, these projects have resulted in over $90,000 reduction in annual operating costs, and Pearl Street helped secure over $100,000 in utility rebates.
For the indoor football practice field, 125 metal halide fixtures were upgraded with new ultra-high output LED fixtures equipped with wireless digital controls. Customized preset scenes were developed for the team’s use. Light levels and uniformity have significantly improved, and the costly maintenance of the old fixtures (which are located over 100 feet in the air to stand clear of footballs) has been eliminated. Also, the team really appreciates the “instant on” feature of the LED lighting and do not have to wait for the fixtures to warm-up to reach the proper light levels. The facilities staff will now get a notification on their smart phone if a light goes out, so that they can address the situation immediately.
All offices, cafeteria/kitchen, training rooms, stairwell and warehouse lighting were all upgraded to new LED fixtures.
For the exterior, the new parking lot LED fixtures were equipped with integrated occupancy sensor controls, allowing for customized occupied and unoccupied light level trimming of individual fixtures to meet the facility’s light-level needs for each area, while maximizing energy savings and extending fixture life.
